Overview

The player-controlled protagonist, obtained for free at launch. You can pick a male or female appearance (two protagonists, one of each, voiced respectively by the real-life sibling pair Yuma Uchida and Maaya Uchida). Built as a tempo/rhythm carry and Sub-DPS who chains the team's damage rotation along. (At the start you choose the male or female lead; both are the same character "Zero" with identical skill values and numbers — only the look, gender, and voice differ.)

Basic Attack

Appraisal

Swing the weapon to draw in energy for up to a 5-hit combo, dealing Cosmos Anomaly DMG. The basic attack is Zero's most fundamental source of damage and Cycle Energy generation.

Shift Skill

Appraise and Engrave

Deals 3 hits then leaps into the air to charge, firing an Esper cannon for AoE Cosmos Anomaly DMG. Thanks to the "instant cycle" mechanic, the on-field lead instantly refills Cycle Energy after this skill, letting you swap to an Anima/Lakshana character to continue the elemental reaction. Highest investment priority.

EX-Rail Ultimate

Divide by Zero

Connects the Nexus lines and clears the field with a sweeping, dance-like blade flurry, dealing multiple instances of AoE Cosmos Anomaly DMG. Zero's main burst source.

Support Skill

After triggering the "Blossom" elemental reaction, the current on-field character recovers HP and the Ultimate's damage is increased. Zero casts the redirect skill for an instant cycle, then swaps out to chain into this support.

A3 Anomalies Record: Divide by Zero (Ultimate) CRIT Rate +50%.

A4 Undecided Factors: Divide by Zero DMG increases by +0.10% per point of the character's base ATK, up to +40%.

A5 Theopneustos: After triggering any Cosmos Esper Cycle, gain ATK +15% for 20s.

A6 Deceptive Liberation: The extra DMG multiplier of Appraise and Engrave +100%. (Beyond this: A7 Discern — Appraisal / Appraise and Engrave / Divide by Zero skill levels each +1; A8 Zero Display — after triggering any Cosmos Esper Cycle, the whole team gains ATK +7% for 20s.)
