NTE Photography / Photo Spot Complete Guide: 35 Photo Spots, Photographer Trilogy, Paper Plane Anomaly Furniture, 1.1 Bagel

Complete guide to the Photography / Photo Spot system in Neverness to Everness (NTE) — photo mode controls, the Photographer Trilogy side quests, full list of all 35 photo spots, Footprint Point rewards, Paper Plane / Twin Fish Banner anomaly furniture photography, and the 1.1 Bagel social media system.

Published: 2026/05/25

Key takeaways: The NTE photography system is unlocked after Prologue I and has three modes: Standard / Selfie / Drone. The 35 photo spots (Miguel 9 / New Herland 9 / Bridge Crossings 6 / Illusion Town 6 / Unheard Shores 5) each award a Footprint Point. The Photographer Trilogy side quests (Kodak → Cassie → Bilar) give roughly 6,000 Fonz + 30 Ring Stones. The Paper Plane / Twin Fish Banner are anomaly furniture you obtain through photography (they reduce stamina). The 1.1 Bagel social system lets you post photos. ⚠️ Unsaved photos are auto-deleted after 15 days.

NTE is a “supernatural urban open world”, and its photography system turns the city vibe, fantastical anomalies, and anime-homage easter eggs all into composition material. This article rounds up photo mode controls, the photographer side quests, all 35 photo spots, the Paper Plane anomaly furniture, and the 1.1 Bagel system in one place.

1. Photography / Photo Mode Basics

How to open: Unlocked after completing Prologue I. Open photo mode by tapping the camera icon in the phone menu, or via the quick-access wheel.

Three shooting modes

ModeDescription
Standard CameraDefault; camera stays close to your character, with pan and tilt
Selfie ModeClose-up shot of your character, who reaches out as if holding the camera; you can add companion characters into the shot and adjust gestures and expressions
Drone ModeLong-range wide angle (with high-altitude overhead shots); you can toggle whether the drone itself appears in frame

Seven adjustment options

  1. Basic settings — focal length, depth of field, gridlines, hide character (scenery only)
  2. Image / Graphics — color contrast, brightness, tone, soft light
  3. Character pose and expression
  4. Group photo — select multiple characters and adjust each individually
  5. Background — adjust time (time of day) and weather
  6. Lighting — artificial light
  7. Filters — a variety of color filters

⚠️ Post-shot features: Photos are saved to your gallery, but those not manually saved are automatically deleted after 15 days (be sure to hit save); you can add 25 special frames and 43 stickers.

The Traditional-Chinese community also has a “candid / snapshot” technique — when you enter, the frame freezes on the current instant, which is great for capturing characters in motion.

2. The Photographer Trilogy Side Quests

All three side quests center on the Film Orbit photography studio in Bridge Crossings. Prerequisite: the Prologue II quest “Good Business, Better Treasure”.

OrderQuest nameQuest-giver NPCObjectiveReward
Rookie PhotographerKodak (first floor of Film Orbit)Take 4 shots: studio entrance → seafood restaurant → DSD clerk on Hankaku Street → Wertheimer Tower (about 7 minutes)2,000 Fonz (+ Ring Stones)
Nearby SceneryCassieTake a series of 4 shots nearby2,000 Fonz + 20 Ring Stones
Pulse of the CityBilar (documentary photographer)Talk to Bilar and photograph people in the district2,000 Fonz + 10 Ring Stones

Both ② and ③ only appear after you complete ① Rookie Photographer. You can frame it as “learn from Kodak → shoot scenery with Cassie → shoot documentary people photography with Bilar”. Reward values are subject to in-game confirmation.

3. ⭐ Complete List of All 35 Photo Spots

4. Photo Spot / Photography Rewards

  • Footprint Points: Each photo spot you complete grants a Footprint Point, which accumulates in your “Wanderer Handbook”; hit the thresholds to claim milestone rewards (including gacha items like Fabricated Dice; details subject to in-game confirmation)
  • Footprint Points also come from: unlocking telephone booths, Wertheimer Tower, turning in Oracle Stones, completing side quests, and photo-spot photography (they all share the same progress bar)
  • Photographer side quest rewards: the three together give roughly 6,000 Fonz + 30 Ring Stones
  • Photography achievements: take photos of NPCs with the camera between 8:00 and 18:00 during the day to earn achievement points, coins, and premium frames

5. Special Photo Spots: Acquiring Anomaly Furniture by Photography ⭐

This is a special mechanic tied to the Urban Tycoon property system: some anomaly furniture pieces unlock by “taking a photo of that anomaly”.

General flow:

Urban Tycoon → Properties → select property → tap the furniture’s "Take 1 photo of XX (0/1)" condition
→ the system auto-tracks the anomaly and marks the map → go there → enter photo mode and line up the shot → shutter (1/1)
→ return to the property and interact with the frame yourself to activate the furniture

Paper Plane

  • Anomaly: a swarm of hostile paper planes that appear near suburban mailboxes (mainly on the north side, around the mailboxes near New Herland or Leon’s property)
  • Matching property: Vienna Apartment
  • Furniture effect: reduces climbing stamina consumption for your active character

Twin Fish Banner

  • Anomaly: a giant carp floating around an illusory flagpole, almost always on high rooftops (climbing required)
  • How to shoot: keep a safe distance → open the phone camera → line up the shot → shutter
  • Matching property: Maple Grove Villa
  • Furniture effect: reduces swimming stamina consumption

For the full anomaly furniture list, see the Room Decoration + Anomaly Furniture Guide.

6. The 1.1 “Dreamwander Corridor” Bagel System (Preview)

1.1 went live on 2026/6/3. The following is preview material; the final content is subject to in-game confirmation.

  • What Bagel is: the social media platform inside Hethereau City. In 1.0 players could only browse NPC posts; 1.1 upgrades it into a fully interactive community system
  • Core = photo sharing + socializing:
    • Post with your own photos, and like, comment, share, follow, and bookmark
    • Share photos with other players
    • The focus is on “shooting character photos in unusual locations” and then sharing them
  • Quest rewards: complete specific objectives to earn “Praise Jam” and exchange it for in-game items
  • No forced socializing: the system pushes content randomly, so there is no pressure to socialize

For details, see the Version 1.1 Preview.

7. The Fun of the Photography System

  • Urban-fantasy settings: photo spots span bustling commercial districts, academies, wishing wells, drive-in theaters, and sky-tower overlooks — city vibe and fantastical anomalies coexist
  • Anime homage / easter-egg spots: the Origami Market, carp banners, and paper plane anomaly carry a strong Japanese flavor; the community loves triggering hidden achievements and Fonz rewards by combining a specific location + specific time + specific character dialogue
  • Photography craze among Traditional-Chinese players: Bahamut has tons of “candid character shots”, “high-altitude drone”, and “remember to hit save” tip threads — photography is one of the core fan activities
