NTE Complete Vehicle Guide: Dealerships, Customization, the ST79 Midnight Ghost Skin & Racing Side Quests

Complete vehicle system guide for Neverness to Everness (NTE) — the three dealerships (Novus / Regalia / TerraX), prices, the ST79 Midnight Ghost skin, Rampage customization, wanted-free car-jacking spots, and racing Anomaly commissions all in one place.

Published: 2026/05/24

Quick answer: NTE has 3 vehicle types — cars, motorcycles, and scooters. The rookie prologue gives you a free Rover A1; buying cars requires City Tycoon Lv 2 to unlock the garage, after which you shop at the 3 dealerships (Novus / Regalia / TerraX). The most expensive vehicle is the Pendragon at 12,000,000 Fons; the ST79 (600,000 Fons) is a tribute to the AE86 from Initial D, and pairs best with the “Midnight Ghost” skin for maximum style. Customize at Rampage Players; cars can be tuned with 17 performance parts, while motorcycles can only be re-skinned.

Heitro City’s map is enormous, and vehicles are essential tools for daily travel and many Anomaly commissions. This guide lays out the vehicle system — acquisition, purchasing, customization, tribute Easter eggs, and racing side quests — all in one place.

Controls: Stand at the roadside and press T to summon your current vehicle; hold T to cycle between vehicles you own. The scooter is the exception — it can be summoned on any open ground.

How to Start: Unlock the Garage at City Tycoon Lv 2

When you finish the prologue, you get a free Rover A1 (a car). But to use the garage to buy, manage, and customize vehicles, you must raise your City Tycoon level to Lv 2 to unlock the garage function.

For how to level up City Tycoon and earn Fons, see the City Tycoon Money Guide.

5 Wanted-Free “Car-Jacking” Spots

The following vehicles can be driven off without the police putting out a wanted status on you — perfect when you suddenly need a ride and don’t want to spend money:

  1. Forklift — Miguel District, Dreamland Town construction site
  2. Ice cream truck — behind the cinema on Camelot Avenue, New Hereland
  3. Hot dog truck — Apple Avenue, New Hereland
  4. Cement truck / gravel truck — the construction zone on the New Hereland / Miguel border
  5. Bus — the parking lot in the upper-left of the Miguel District

These “engineering / special vehicles” are scene objects you’re free to operate, unlike ordinary civilian cars (forcibly taking a normal car will get you wanted).

Famous Cars and Easter Eggs: the ST79 “Midnight Ghost”

The Novus ST79 is the most famous car in the whole game — modeled on the AE86 from Initial D. Next to Caltrop Lake in the Miguel District, an ST79 sits parked outside the Natsunari Tofu shop, and the locals call it “the Midnight Ghost of Heitro City.”

How to Get the Midnight Ghost Skin

  1. Complete the side quest “Drift Away, Legend” — at Caltrop Lake in the Miguel District, the map shows a Ghost Racer icon; talk to tofu shop owner Sota to trigger it
  2. Obtain the “Replica Ghost Car” Anomaly furniture — the reward for finishing the side quest
  3. Place it in the Maple Villa and raise it to Lv 6 — the villa’s upgrade system unlocks the skin
  4. Head to the Rampage Players garage — apply the Midnight Ghost skin to your own ST79

For the full side quest walkthrough, see the Side Quests Guide.

Customization: Rampage Players

Marked on the map with a blue gear-and-car icon, there are 4 locations across the city, spread throughout the districts of Heitro City. Selecting “Customize” from the vehicle menu auto-navigates you to the nearest one.

Car Customization

  • Appearance: skins, decals, body color
  • Performance: 17 customization parts total
    • Engine, transmission, LSD differential
    • Suspension, dampers, brakes
    • Tires, body reinforcement
    • Turbo, intake, exhaust, etc.
  • High-end sports cars (Pendragon, LaVelox) have the most options

Motorcycles / Scooters

  • Appearance only (skins, decals)
  • No performance tuning — motorcycle performance is fixed

Racing and Driving Anomaly Commissions

NTE has plenty of side quests and commissions that require driving a vehicle to trigger:

CommissionAreaKey condition
Ironclad AssaultWertheimer Tower, BridgelandTime 00:00–04:00, a four-wheeled vehicle heading east-to-west, follow the headless Ironclad’s blue-flame motorcycle into the Anomaly
Deep Blue LamentNautilus Tunnel, New HerelandNighttime, four-wheeled vehicle (motorcycle / scooter won’t work), hug the left lane the entire way to trigger the blue spacetime gate; recommended Lv 38+
Drift Away, LegendCaltrop Lake, Miguel DistrictDrive the ST79, race against Bai Yang and your own phantom; unlocks the Midnight Ghost skin
Invasion! Octopus Trailer!Unheard BayDrive to chase down the trailer and enter combat
Shadow of the Whitetail Tree Ring Mountain HighwayMiguel DistrictSame as above
Ghost Avenue Wild RallyNew HerelandSame as above
Farewell, Yellow Flag Stage!Moomin Street, BridgelandNPC Gethrie gifts a C2000 to race with; reward includes 15,000 Fons + 60 Crystals

High-Value Rewards

After clearing Ironclad Assault, you can obtain the S-rank Arc Disc “Flame Soul Blitz” — once equipped, your motorcycle gains a will-o’-the-wisp effect and boosted plasma damage. A must-have for racing fans.

If you’re a budget-conscious player, here’s the order we’d suggest:

  1. The Rover A1 from the prologue — use it for now
  2. C2000 (50,000 Fons), or the free one from “Farewell, Yellow Flag Stage!” — your first car of choice
  3. Novis ST-X 950 motorcycle (250,000) — a big boost to mobility
  4. ST79 (600,000) — for the Initial D nostalgia and the Midnight Ghost skin
  5. Save up for a high-end Regalia model — a late-game flex car

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you buy a car in NTE? +

You first need to raise your City Tycoon level to Lv 2 to unlock the garage, then visit the three dealerships to buy cars: Novus (Bridgeland) for entry-level mass-market cars, Regalia (New Hereland) for high-end luxury cars + the only motorcycles, and TerraX (Miguel District) for off-road vehicles. You also get a free Rover A1 when you finish the rookie prologue.

Where do you buy the ST79? How do you unlock the Midnight Ghost skin? +

The ST79 is sold at the Novus dealership (Moomin Street, Bridgeland) for 600,000 Fons, and is modeled on the AE86 from *Initial D*. To get the Midnight Ghost skin: (1) complete the side quest "Drift Away, Legend" (talk to tofu shop owner Sota by Caltrop Lake in the Miguel District); (2) obtain the "Replica Ghost Car" Anomaly furniture, place it in the Maple Villa, and raise it to Lv 6; (3) head to the Rampage Players garage and apply the skin to your own ST79.

Are there car-jacking spots in NTE that won’t get you wanted? +

Yes. The following 5 "engineering/special vehicles" can be driven off without triggering a wanted status: (1) the forklift (Miguel District, Dreamland Town construction site); (2) the ice cream truck (behind the cinema on Camelot Avenue, New Hereland); (3) the hot dog truck (Apple Avenue, New Hereland); (4) the cement truck and gravel truck (the construction zone on the New Hereland / Miguel border); (5) the bus (the parking lot in the upper-left of the Miguel District).

How do you summon a car you already own? +

Stand at the roadside and press T to summon your current vehicle; hold T to cycle between vehicles you own. The scooter is an exception — it can be summoned on any open ground, not just the roadside.

Can you tune the performance of motorcycles and cars? +

Cars can be customized for both appearance (skins, decals) and performance (17 parts total: engine, suspension, dampers, brakes, transmission, tires, body, LSD, etc.), and high-end sports cars have even more options. Motorcycles and scooters can only be customized cosmetically — their performance cannot be changed. Customization is done at the Rampage Players garage, marked with a blue gear-and-car icon on the map, with 4 locations across the city.
